Languages and Adventure - Switzerland

The language camps in Switzerland are a healthy mix of language classes together with a wide variety of sports, activities and excursions in the breath taking Swiss environment. The programmes are designed to improve the language skills of students at an individual level. The class size does not exceed 10 students and each student receives a high degree of personal attention. The available language options include English, French, German and Spanish.

Each student has to undergo an assessment test and is placed in an appropriate class based on test results. Continuous assessment during the course of the programme is carried out to evaluate the progress. A format test is administered at the end of the week and each student is provided a comprehensive report and a certificate.

The camp offers a wide range of adventure activities including Kayaking, climbing, bridge-jumping, dirt monster bikes, horse-riding, water-skiing, archery and more. The sports activities include football, volleyball, tennis, squash, badminton, cross country running, mountain bikes, table tennis and ice skating.


The camp includes a day trip to a Glacier where students can enjoy amazing views of the Alpine countryside and enjoy activities in the snow.

Other camp excursions include a visit to a chocolate factory, cheese factory, the UN headquarters in Geneva, the Red Cross Museum etc. A trip to Europa Park, the second largest theme park in Europe with several exciting rides, can also be arranged on request.

Special Excursion: CERN

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is one of the world’s largest and most respected centres for scientific research and home to several Nobel Laureates. CERN was recently in the news for the discovery of the Higgs Boson or the "God Particle". Students have the option of a visiting CERN during their excursion to Geneva and taking a tour of the research facilities. The tour must be reserved several months in advance and is subject to availability.



Students are provided shared accommodation with up to four students sharing a room. Girls and boys are provided rooms on separate floors.Accompanying teachers are housed in double rooms with attached baths.

The camp is located in a scenic village with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and benefiting from maximum sunlight throughout the year.  The city of Geneva isabout two hours away from the camp location.


Students are served three meals and day and will also be provided light refreshments during the course of the day.  Vegetarian meals options are available.
